  3. Steps
  4. 1. Load Resedit from the Finder
  5. 2. To replace the boring folder with the  
  6.    file cabinet icon.
  7.    a. open the finder file on your system 
  8.       disk.
  9.    b. open the ICON # part of the Finder
  10.    c. double click on the folder icon
  11.    d. look at its ID #. Write this # down
  12.    e. delete the folder icon
  13.    f. paste the file cabinet icon in the 
  14.       same file
  15.    g. choose the new icon and GET INFO
  16.    h. change the new icons ID # to the 
  17.       ID # that the folder icon had (you 
  18.       wrote this # down)
  19. 3. To replace the Imagewriter icon
  20.    a. open the desktop file on your 
  21.       system disk
  22.    b. open the ICON # part of the desktop
  23.    c. double click on the Imagewriter 
  24.       icon
  25.    d. look at its ID #. Write this # down
  26.    e. delete the Imagewriter icon
  27.    f. paste the new Imagewriter icon in 
  28.       the same file
  29.    g. choose the new icon and GET INFO
  30.    h. change the new icons ID # to the 
  31.       ID # that the folder icon had (you 
  32.       wrote this # down)
  33. 4. To replace the generic system file 
  34.    icons with either if the remaining 
  35.    icons.
  36.    a. open the desktop file on your 
  37.       system disk
  38.    b. open the ICON # part of the desktop
  39.    c. double click on the mac icon 
  40.    d. look at its ID #. Write this # down
  41.    e. delete the mac icon
  42.    f. paste the new system file icon in 
  43.       the same file
  44.    g. choose the new icon and GET INFO
  45.    h. change the new icons ID # to the 
  46.       ID # that the folder icon had (you 
  47.       wrote this # down)
